PEERS: Peer Engagement for Emotional Resilience & Support
The Dhruti PEERS Program is a student-led initiative designed to foster a culture of emotional resilience, peer support, and mental well-being on college campuses.
Trained student volunteers—our PEERS—serve as approachable, empathetic allies who promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and guide their fellow students toward support when needed. While not a replacement for professional counseling, PEERS act as the first line of emotional support within their campus communities.
Program Highlights:
- Peer supporters trained in active listening, empathy, and referral skills
- On-campus presence to raise awareness and normalize mental health conversations
- Collaboration with college administration and Dhruti counselors
- Regular events, wellness campaigns, and mental health drives
Why It Matters:
Students often turn to peers before seeking professional help. The PEERS Program ensures that this first step is informed, compassionate, and empowering.
