Breaking Stigma, Building Strength: Empowering 800+ Students at JEPPIAAR

Navigating college life isn’t just about lectures and examsβ€”it’s also about learning how to manage academic pressure, handle stress, and nurture emotional health. On July 23, 2026, Dhruti Charitable Trust conducted a high-impact mental wellness workshop titled ‘Therapy is a Tool: Breaking Stigma, Building Strength’ in Chennai.

The 90-minute session saw an extraordinary turnout of** 800 students** across diverse academic streams, coming together to normalize conversations around mental health and learn practical tools for emotional resilience.

πŸ’‘ Expert Facilitation Across Disciplines

The interactive workshop was led by** Ms. Shalini S**, Counselling Psychologist at Dhruti Trust, specializing in academic stress, career decision-making, and self-doubt. Bringing together students from both technical and management programs created a unique environment where peers across fields could connect over shared experiences. Participating departments included:

  • Technology & Engineering: B.Tech (AI & ML), B.Tech Cyber Security, and Computer Science Engineering (CSE).

  • Specialized & Professional Sciences: Forensic Science.

  • Commerce & Management: BBA (Shipping & Logistics Management) and B.Com (General).
