Healthy Body, Happy Mind: Empowering 300+ Students at Dr. Dharmambal Government Polytechnic College for Women

At Dhruti, we believe that true well-being is a harmonious balance between physical fitness and mental peace. On July 23, 2026, we had the privilege of conducting a transformative awareness workshop titled ‘Healthy Body, Happy Mind’ at Dr. Dharmambal Government Polytechnic College for Women, Chennai.

The energetic two-hour session brought together over 300 students to discuss holistic health, practical self-care, and the vital link between mind and body.]

🌟 Expert Facilitation

The workshop was co-led by two distinguished healthcare and wellness experts:

  • Dr. Lalitha Krishnan (MBBS, DCH, DNB, Retired Professor of Pediatrics), who shared deep clinical insights on physical wellness, pediatric/adolescent health, and preventive care.

  • Dr. Sangeetha Shanmugam (Director – Dhruti Saarathi Program, Dhruti Trust), who guided participants through actionable mental health strategies, stress-management tools, and emotional resilience techniques.

2. Knowing When to Seek Help

A critical outcome of the workshop was empowering young women to recognize early warning signs of physical and emotional distress, breaking down hesitations around reaching out to medical professionals and counselors.

3. Continuous Growth & Feedback

While overall satisfaction was exceptional, we value every voice. Constructive feedback from participants highlighted a desire for even longer sessions and more hands-on activities—insights we are already weaving into our future campus programs!
